Which made The Third so good is that it was shorter and had no NPC content (after revisiting ALL the NPCs during the last Act of SC it was a good decision), all the story sections were relevant and the game structure was streamlined. I suppose that some of the fanbase is happy to have another 120 hour game for the same price, but when most of the content is recycled and the main events are clearly stretched to make the game longer I don't think is really worth it. Re-introducing all the characters in CS II felt unnecessary after playing CS I, which is already a really long character introduction game. We don't need CS IV's Act II at all (maybe the last section was necessary), we don't need to talk to the same NPC 6-7 times during a game to read what can be explained in 3-4 lines, if you are developing a game reusing the same assets to save time and money, make it a short game that goes to the point. The big issue with Kiseki, that CS IV exemplifies the best, is a lack of content edition.

I don't like being "limited" all the time to do what the game wants me to do (Persona 5 vanilla is a good example of limiting the player often), but sometimes it makes sense to not talk to all NPCs.
